Note di degustazione
The 2021 Pinot Noir Wildrose is a classy, elegant wine. Crushed red berry fruit, sage, mint, lavender and a good dose of whole cluster savoriness all meld together in a vibrant, delineated Pinot that hits all the right notes. The 2021 is going to need at least a few years to fully come together, but it is tremendous, even in the early going. It is one of the more gracious, lifted wines in the range. The 33% whole clusters work so well here.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Wildrose Estate Vineyard is the 20th anniversary bottling of this cuvée. "This is the first vineyard I ever planted, in 1993," winemaker Andy Smith says with a smile. Vinified with about one-third whole bunches, it has a pale ruby color and loads of aromatic layers: wild berry fruit, tangerine peel and cinnamon unfold to nuances of aniseed and wildflowers. The light-bodied palate is silky and seamless, with incredibly concentrated fruit and a very long, flavorful finish. It could use 2-3+ years in bottle to unwind.
