The 2021 Pinot Noir West Sonoma Coast has layered aromas of blackberries, tobacco, tea leaves and damp earth, revealing more spicy nuances as it opens in the glass. The light-bodied palate is youthfully chalky and refreshing. It features concentrated, perfumed, spicy fruit and a long, latent finish.

The 2021 Pinot Noir (West Sonoma Coast) is savory, floral and nicely nuanced. Dried red cherry fruit, spice, new leather, herbs and rose petal are nicely lifted in this super-classic, savory/mineral Pinot. All the elements are so well-balanced. This fruit is all sourced from the Freemans' Yu-ki estate vineyard. The 2021 is gorgeous with air, but will be even better with a year or two in bottle.
The first vintage of this wine with the WSC designation printed on the label, the 2021 Pinot Noir West Sonoma Coast pours a deep ruby hue and reveals forward aromas of cherry, wild herbs, and sassafras. Medium to full-bodied and driven with vibrant acidity, it has notes of crunchy cranberry fruit and is savory with saltiness, wild forest herbs, and rhubarb. There’s a touch of greenness to the tannins, but it’s an attractive red. Drink 2024-2028.
