Note di degustazione
Honeysuckle and lily-of-the-valley garland fresh white peach, strawberry and red raspberry in the nose, and the wine’s modest sweetness both supports the lusciousness of fruit and helps balance the blazing brightness of fresh lime on a silken, glycerol-rich yet lithe palate, where a lovely hint of fresh almond and a suggestion of quince jelly also emerge. Tingling tartness and seedy crunch of red berries lend invigoration to a finish of utmost purity, polish and persistence that brings with it the inner-mouth perfume promised in the nose. (There are only around 2,000 bottles each of this beauty and its Halenberg counterpart.)

The 2015 Riesling Monzinger Frühlingsplätzchen Spätlese is intense, ripe and flinty on the nose, as well as lovely, precise and stimulating. It is really hard to spit out this Riesling that is another picture book Spätlese with a juicy texture, remarkablely refined fruit and acidity. The 2015 is so salty, light and balanced, but also so lush and sensual that you better calculate one bottle for two and keep a second in reserve.
Pale green gold. Real intensity on the nose with ripe honeyed floral character. Very precise and pure with finely etched acidity. Very refined. (JR)
