Note di degustazione
The 1998 Grand Cru Kastelberg Riesling offers a beautifully pure and matured bouquet with rocky slate, stone fruit, honey, herbal and delicate honey aromas. Full-bodied, round and piquant, with a gorgeous sweetness, dried apricot flavors, a fine tannin grip and minty flavors in the finish, this is a great wine. It has a remarkable finessed acidity that should go very well slightly toasted freshwater fish. The finish is long, piquant and salty, and still reveals the characteristic tannin grip of the Kastelberg. This bottle is slightly more matured and oxidized than the one I had the day before in the Am Lidenplatzel restaurant in Mittelbergheim, which was brighter in color and had even more energy and piquancy.

Vibrant aromas of white flowers, citrus oil and lime blossom. Drier and more classic than the Kastelberg VT, with precise lime oil and mint flavors, but has a smaller structure than the '97. Finishes quite long and subtle.
