Note di degustazione
After the wine wasn't been produced in 2021, the 2022 Spätburgunder Malterdingen Bienenberg Wildenstein GG arrives deep, fresh and pure on the nose, with concentrated cherry and dark berry aromas intertwined with iodine notes of crushed rocks. On the palate, the Wildenstein is a dense and refined, lush and generous yet fresh and straight Pinot with very fine, ripe tannins and a remarkably long and intense yet also tight finish. The wine is powerful and another superb Huber Pinot of the benchmark 2022 vintage, yet perhaps it doesn't have the thrilling energy of the mind-blowing Schlossberg. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden in August 2024.

Wild, rugged beauty, with the most floral character of the four sites. Violets and candied hibiscus, rose hip. Stunning in its refreshing cherry precision. Is it the coolness? The acid? The fruit? The balance? Together they form a whole that is simply known as trinkfluss , ie impossible to spit. Not the most elegant of the line-up but easily the most enticing. Note the empty glass. (PS)
What stunning blackberry and black cherry fruit this rich and beautifully balanced Baden red has. So elegant and silky on the medium- to full-bodied palate that it takes your breath away. I love the gentle crescendo in the finish, where everything finds its place and the restrained tension is exactly resolved. Drink or hold.
