The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Thomas Vineyard is terrific. Aromatic and light on its feet, the Thomas is one of the more understated wines in this range. Dark red cherry/plum fruit, mocha, cedar and new leather all built nicely, conveying an impression of finesse.

Hints of menthol, ripe cherries and dusty earth mark the nose of the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Thomas Vineyard, a seven-acre site in Rutherford purchased by AO in 2015. It's a medium-bodied, rather tannic offering but ripe, with a velvety feel and pleasantly dusty texture on the long finish.
