Very exotic and rich, but still sublimely fresh and delicate. This combination of concentration and brilliance is the raison d\'etre of the Mosel. Excellent wine.

Made from golden-yellow but not much botrytized grapes, the 2015 Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese Gold Capsule (AP #15, Auction) is super clear, pure and fresh on the nose, with lemon and stony/slate aromas and a remarkable intensity. This is a rich, but highly finessed and delicate Auslese GK with very fine raisin fruit, and a gorgeously elegant and refined concentration. It has a long and mineral, very tension-filled finish. This extraordinary Auslese was auctioned in Trier in September 2016 for 250 Euro (375 cl: 130 Euro; magnums: 680 Euro).
