Note di degustazione
The 2006 Classic Cuvée underwent no malolactic, as was the modus operandi at the time. This was bottled in spring 2007 and disgorged in August 2010. It has a white-mushroom-scented nose (possibly due to a little botrytis) with touches of mirabelle. The palate is nicely balanced and here I find the botrytis more evident; it’s ripe but missing some definition toward the slightly waxy-textured finish.

Subtle, not at all generous on the nose. Needs coaxing. Lovely butter and cream gives a bit more depth on the palate. (RH)
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier. Quite frothy. Tight-knit nose with some interest. Very high acidity on the front palate and then a bit of softening dosage. Seems pretty young and is a bit astringent on the end but it does have interest and structure. I think this wine is probably capable of development. (JR)
