The 2009 Coteaux Champenois Ambonnay Rouge Cuvée des Grands Côtés Vieilles Vignes is showing brilliantly today, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, orange rind, cloves, rose petals and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, it's layered and multidimensional, with succulent acids, melting tannins and a long, saline finish.
