From a site in Carneros and brought up in 40% new French oak, the 2019 Chardonnay Chappellet Grower Collection El Novillero Vineyard offers lots of honeyed tropical fruits, melon, and floral hints to go with more toasty, buttery nuances on the palate. A rich, medium to full-bodied beauty, it has a wonderful, rounded texture, good freshness, and a great finish. This has classic Carneros richness and sexiness while staying pure and lively.
