2013 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Eiswein

The 2013 Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Eiswein was harvested quite early in the year, on November 27 already, and this was great luck because until today – December 10, 2014 – it was the coldest night Oberhausen has experienced. The wine was auctioned on 21 September 2014 in Bad Kreuznach for 275 Euro (plus VAT) for the 0.375 l bottle. It offers a bright, precise and very intense nose of limes, citrus confit and grapefruit aromas along with coolish earthy/mineral flavors. The wine is lovely clear, crystalline and fine on the palate, very delicate but also sweet and intense, piquant with lovely concentration, finishing with confit de citron and a stimulating minerality.
