2014 Torrin Syrah Vicinage Series Shadow Canyon Vineyard

Bright purple. Spice-tinged dark berry and cherry liqueur scents along with hints of pungent flowers and olive tapenade. Sweet and peppery in the mouth, offering juicy black and blue fruit and bitter chocolate flavors that unfurl slowly as the wine opens up. Shows very good depth as well as energy and finishes on a youthfully tannic note, with excellent persistence and lingering cracked pepper and bitter cherry notes. (JR)
