AP number 14 24. Rich and spicy on the nose but also with a sideline of herbal, grassy spontaneous-fermentation aroma. On the nose, it is not obviously sweet. Sweet on the palate, of course, seductively rounded with such pure, ripe but cool yellow fruit. Peaches and cream and great length. (JH)

The 2023 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Spätlese opens with a smoky aspect followed by tangerine vivaciousness. This aromatic notion of tangerine peel plunges into sweetness, filling the senses and expanding with sweet freshness. Lovely balance, lovely verve, beautiful nerve.
Very deep and complex with a wonderfully subtle spiciness that almost perfectly complements the creamy-dreamy richness. This has an ample amount of natural grape sweetness, but the result remains so light-footed and incredibly animating on the medium-bodied palate. Great citrus freshness and finesse in the extremely long finish. Fantastic aging potential. Drink from release.
Grosse Lage. Cask sample. Very juicy indeed! This is baked apples and quite flattering. (JR)
