2011 Efeste Cabernet Sauvignon Big Papa Old Block

Bright red-ruby. Aromas of cassis, blackberry and licorice are complicated by a cool herbal aspect. Dense, savory and quite taut, with black cherry, cassis and fresh herb flavors framed by vibrant acidity. Not at all a plush or sweet style but boasts excellent peppery energy. This wine gained in intensity and lift with extended aeration, but I suspect it will require extended aging to approach its peak drinkability.
