RS 5.8 g/l, TA 7.3 g/l. The note of honeyed citrus does not dominate the more stony mineral aroma but there's also a creamy lees note. Great intensity and freshness balanced by a slight grip in the texture. (JH)

Apple and white peach, blond tobacco and pungent green herbs make for an attention-getting nose and sappy, mouthwateringly savory palate presence. A grapefruit rind bittersweetness emerges to add intensity and vigor to the finish. What this lacks in the polish or sheer juiciness of the corresponding Loibenberg, it makes up for in grip.
Purity, density and minerality – this trilogy seems to be the leitmotif of the 2013 Dürnsteiner Riesling Smaragd Ried Schütt, which reveals a clear and deep bouquet of ripe fruit aromas and some vegetal notes. Pure and elegant on the palate, the Schütt Riesling combines complexity and intensity with elegance and persistence for a great and expressive Riesling monument of the Wachau. It is even finer than the Kellerberg Riesling Smaragd.
Very rich and concentrated. Direct and perfumed – less precise than the Kellerberg. Lots of refined citrus on the palate. (JR)
