2017 Riesling Hochrain Smaragd

From a sub-vineyard in the Spitzer Axpoint, the 2017 Ried Hochrain Riesling Smaragd is intensely fruity on the clear and slightly earthy/mineral-scented nose. Round and quite rich on the palate, this is a very intense and juicy Riesling with texture and charming sweetness. There is a lot of Veltliner charm here but the finish is subtly fresh. Tasted September 2018.
