Bitter chocolate, mint leaf, eucalyptus, Cabernet Sauvignon dominant in its dark fruit expression with a rich kick of grilled cedar oak. I would suggest the 2014 over the 2015 vintage right now, as this needs a few more years to soften. Harvest September 25 to October 13, 40% new oak.

The 2015 Bouscaut has a rather raw and diffuse bouquet that lacks the cohesion of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied, nicely balanced but simple with a light pepperiness coming through on the finish. I suspect there might be better bottles than this. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.
Tasted blind. Fairly deep straw. Lanolin on the nose with a hint of cardboard. Sweet start on the palate and then a streak of vitalising green. Lively, confident and long. (JR)
