Made with 30% whole clusters, the 2021 Pinot Noir Sequitur Vineyard has intense aromas of wild berries, orange peel, oolong tea leaves, juniper and pipe tobacco, and it continues to reveal aromatic nuances as it airs in the glass. The medium-bodied palate features generous, botanical-laced flavors. It has a powerful, chalky frame, mouthwatering acidity and a long, perfumed finish. Despite its expressiveness at this early stage, it will benefit from a few years in bottle and should be long lived in the cellar.

A jeweled and deep ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir Sequitur Vineyard is refined and pure, with a distilled feel of black raspberry eau de vie, an enveloping floral bouquet, and a hint of anise. Ripe, balanced, and full-bodied, with a well-balanced and angular structure, it delivers ripe tannins, woodsy spice, herbal-tinged notes (perhaps from the stems, but in a well-managed way), and a long finish. Drink 2024-2036.
Hundred Suns owner Grant Coulter helped plant this site when Mike Etzel was getting it off the ground. Coulter has made a single-vineyard bottling from it since 2015. 30–45% whole cluster. Pale purple. Powdery, floral character. Light in the mouth. Very plummy with violet floral notes and an open-weave texture. Incredibly drinkable. The alcohol is well integrated with linear acidity and powdery tannins that lend structure. Balanced. Could drink now but this will be much better in a few years. Currently gluggable and primary.
