(made with no sulfur additions) Lurid violet. Vibrant red and blue fruit scents are lifted and sharpened by a peppery note and a hint of smoky minerality. Bitter cherry and boysenberry flavors show very good energy and depth, and a spine of tangy acidity adds focus and structure. Fine-grained tannins come on late, adding shape to the lively, appealingly sweet, lingering berry flavors.
