This vintage is a stunner chez Roumier, and the 2007 Chambolle-Musigny Village is no exception, bursting from the glass with an expressive bouquet of raspberries, sweet forest floor, rose petal and cocoa nib. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, sappy and expansive, with melted tannins and a giving core of fruit.

Medium red. Red raspberry, licorice and underbrush on the nose. Sweet and creamy in the mouth; less precise than the 2008 but riper and darker in character, and almost drinkable right now. Finishes broad and sweet, with dusty tannins.
Medium red. Sappy dark berries, flowers and spices on the expressive nose. Fleshy, silky and sweet, with red fruit flavors dominating. There's currently a bit of unabsorbed CO2, but this long, strong village wine will give early pleasure.

Based in Chambolle-Musigny, the domaine was established by Georges Roumier in 1924. The domaine started to bottle their own wines in 1945.
