Full lemon-yellow color. Very ripe aromas of peach and honey; more exotic than the Grande Montagne. Sweet and fat with honeyed fruit, complicated by a resiny quality. A bit disjointed with acidity and yet this seems to be evolving already.

Full and rich and tense and a full-bodied classic white burgundy. But you certainly need to wait. Pretty tough on the end. (JR)

Good pale green-tinged color. Higher-pitched aromas of lime and white flowers; quite classic for this cuvee, which is never the ripest in the cellar. A gentle but firm midweight with a juicy quality to its citrus and mineral flavors. Like the Vergers, this wine's fresh acidity extends the finish and gives grip to the wine. A bit saline in a positive way, with the fresh fruit to support it. Nicely aromatic on the back end, leaving behind traces of lemon, flowers and minerals. (The Chassagne-Montrachet Caillerets, Morgeot and Boudriotte still had five or six grams of residual sugar at the time of my visit and were not ready to taste.)
