Note di degustazione
The 2014 Cornas from this estate shows the vintage's more mid-weight style yet has gorgeous complexity. With a medium ruby color and searing notes of white (and red) pepper, currants, smoked earth, and forest floor, this beauty has a vibrancy that only comes from granitic soils. With high yet integrated acidity, ripe tannin, and solid balance, it's a pretty, elegant 2014 to drink over the coming 12-15 years.

Brilliant ruby. Aromas of fresh black and blue fruits, olive paste, licorice and violet are accompanied by suggestions of smoked meat and cracked pepper. Sweet, smoky and penetrating on the palate, offering juicy bitter cherry and cassis flavors that deepen and spread out slowly on the back half. Finishes very long and spicy, delivering building tannins and an echo of smokiness. Shows less overt wildness than other recent vintages of this wine, but this is a decidedly old-school Cornas.
