2022 Guerrieri Rizzardi Chiaretto Bardolino rose Keya

Full bottle 1,315 g.  Deep pink with coral highlights. Smells savoury, even a little dusty, a little aniseedy. Chewy, tannic texture carrying distinctive oomph and punchiness. Maraschino cherries, menthol and liquorice. This has real character and vigorous get-up-and-go. It paired incredibly well with smoked venison (local Chinese water deer dry-brined in a coffee, pepper and salt rub). A Chiaretto with a red-wine attitude. (TC)
