Note di degustazione
The 2020 Landgeflecht Riesling trocken Unikat offers an intense, iodine-scented, very aromatic and concentrated nose with spicy and stony mirabelle aromas. Pure and refined on the palate, this is a full-bodied, very intense, dense and tight yet long, transparent and crystalline Landgeflecht that tastes spectacular at this early stage. It is very pure and salty. 12.5% stated alcohol. Tasted from magnum at the domaine in August 2022.

The 2020 Riesling Landgeflecht is made from a parcel of this name within the Doosberg, the first vineyard planted by Peter-Jakob and Angela Kühn in 1978, so the vines are now 45 years old. This single-parcel wine is only released three years after harvest. The nose combines pear skin and wet earth. A sense of butter edged by dry lemon peel appears later. The palate is smooth and rounded, with taut and bright acidity that seems to lead deeper into the soil than into fruit. The concentration is immense, highlighting a vein of dried lemon peel freshness, making the mouth water with its zestiness. This is profound, with an irresistible salty core of umami on the finish. Again, there is a textural hint of malolactic fermentation. (Bone-dry)
