2023 Dr. Hermann Erdener Pralat Riesling Auslese Gold Kapsel

Picked in the lower part of the cru at 115° Oechsle but with just 10% of botrytized grapes, the 2023 Erdener Prälat Riesling Auslese Alte Reben (Gold Capsule) is deep, intense and flinty-mineral on the complex nose that could be that of a "GG" as well. You get very fine raisin, candied lemon, mirabelle and pineapple aromas. Full-bodied, round and rich on the palate, this is a highly elegant and refined, stimulating saline and lively Prälat with a dense texture and a long and crunchy-mineral, sustainably structured finish. It's a great wine made for decades. 500 liters were made. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 19 24 in January 2025.
