Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2018-2033, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2018

The 2013 Côte Rôtie Terrasses is cut from the same cloth yet has slightly more depth. Black raspberries, dried flowers, pepper, and gamey, olive and bacon fat notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, ethereally textured, seamless Côte Rôtie that has sweet tannin, no hard edges, and a great finish. This is an incredibly impressive 2013 (most 2013s are more angular and backward) that’s already drinking beautifully yet promises to shine for another 10-15 years. These are the first releases I’ve tasted from vigneron Jean-Luc Jamet, who left the family estate in 2013. His Côte Rôtie is slightly more accessible and forward than that of his brother Jean-Paul, yet is a beautiful wine that has plenty of classic Jamet character.

Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2020-2026, Josh Raynolds, Jun 2017

Deep ruby. Spice-accented aromas of dark berries, licorice and violet, along with olive and smoked meat notes in the background. Chewy and focused on the palate, offering juicy blackberry and bitter cherry flavors that flesh out slowly with aeration. Turns sweeter on the smoky finish, which features dusty, firming tannins and lingering licorice and floral nuances.
