2005 Pali Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard

Ruby-red. Ripe cherry and dark berry aromas, with deeper espresso and tobacco notes and a hint of vanilla. Tightly wound cherry and bitter chocolate flavors are supported by a light mineral quality and firm tannins. Finishes with refreshingly bitter cherry skin and pit flavors along with vanilla and roasted coffee notes. Youthfully backward but there's impressive material here.
