This well-pitched McLaren Vale 2021 Shiraz is an elegant style from the region that delivers framboise and stalky aromas over a bed of mulberry fruit. Mid-weight with a core of spicy fruit, there is also an attractive refinement to the style. Stalky tannins provide a backbone to the lingering, savory finish.

Bit of whole-berry and bit of whole-bunch. All old oak. Deep purplish crimson. Nicely integrated nose with ripe spices. Very fresh and smooth. Very charming. Again a little saline note on the end after lots of ripeness. Very polished tannins! Sweet, polished-leather notes. (JR)
These are really smart wines, these Mmad wines. The 2021 Shiraz is elegant, fine and spicy, with a core of pure fruit. This is beautiful, very fine. It has notes of raspberry coulis, brine, restraint and blood, with density but lightness. There is also pastrami and pink peppercorn. Blewitt Springs strikes again.
