The 2018 Viesslinger Stern Riesling, which I didn’t taste so far, exhibits a bright and brilliant citrus color and opens with a clear, elegant and beautifully aromatic apricot aroma. It's a classic with great aromatic finesse and elegance but also concentration. Round and lush , with a salty-piquant finish and fine mineral grip, this is a perfectly round and vivacious Riesling classic from the end of Spitzer Graben viticulture. Bottled in spring 2019, the wine is in top shape today and should keep its glory for many years. Stimulatingly salty and crystalline, with a fine grip. 13% alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in June 2021.
