Small-berried Muscat Blanc. RS 200 g/l. Not much nose but a heck of a lot of sweetness on the palate. Just a little too syrupy for refreshment with a lightly oily finish. But if it's sweetness you're after.... (JR)

Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains. RS 200 g/l. Mid gold. Smells sweet, grapey and rich in spiced, dried apricots with some barley sugar on the palate. Intensely sweet, creamy and viscous. After the Disznókö Late Harvest 2013, it seems a little lacking in acidity but it's VGV for an all-round sweetie – should be great with blue cheese or fruit-based desserts without too much cream. The 2015 Muscat Vin Doux is sweet, fortified and unoaked, coming in with 200 grams per liter of residual sugar, plus 15% alcohol. This has a beautiful feel of tamed vanilla over lanolin. It is graceful, focused and fresh. In other words, it is a typical offering in this fine brand. It is not big or intense, but it is delicious, wonderfully aromatic and amazingly tasty. At the price, even for a 500ml bottle, it's a steal. It does tail off a bit as it warms. Overall, it does well.
