Note di degustazione
Opaque magenta. Highly perfumed, mineral-tinged dark berry liqueur, candied violet and licorice aromas are accompanied by hints of olive, vanilla and smoky bacon. Palate-staining cassis, cherry-cola, floral pastille and fruitcake flavors exhibit impressive depth and are supported by an undercurrent of juicy acidity. Expands steadily with air and finishes extremely long and precise, with building tannins and a strong, floral- and mineral-driven persistence.

The 2018 Côte Rôtie But De Mont is a more plush, ripe, supple beauty that has ample meaty, savory, spicy notes in a full-bodied, mouth-filling, opulent style. It shows the sunny style of the vintage and is flat-out gorgeous on the palate, with an expansive, seamless profile that just begs to be drunk. Despite its up-front charm, it has the balance and purity to evolve for two decades.
More red-fruited in style, the 2018 Cote Rotie But de Mont offers up hints of cherries and red raspberries on the nose. It's full-bodied, lush and velvety in feel, with a gentle kiss of vanilla on the lingering finish.
