2022 Peter Lauer Lambertskirch Riesling Grosses Gewach

The auctioned Ayler Riesling 2022 Lambertskirch GG – Versteigerung – comes from a site located directly on the banks of the Saar that is normally used to select a Kabinett or even a rare Spätlese. It shows a very fine and delicate bouquet with slate and herbal spices. Juicy and elegant on the well-balanced palate, this is a classic, lean and finessed Saar Riesling without any spectacle, and perhaps that is why it is so good. The also auctioned 2021 vintage, which I haven't tasted yet, sells for no less than 232.5 euros in Germany. The 2022 was auctioned last month for 180 euros excluding of taxes and provisions.
