The only difference between the 2017 Gamay Noir Due East and its Ribbon Ridge counterpart is clonal—fermentation protocols, etc. are otherwise exactly the same. Pale ruby-purple, it's scented of crushed blackberries, blueberries and boysenberries, red currant and licorice with notes of granite, sweet spices, baked raspberries, dried earth and meaty touches. The light to medium-bodied palate offers spicy, earth-laced fruits, a gentle frame and lip-smacking freshness begging you for another sip on the long finish. 150 cases produced.
