Note di degustazione
The 2019 Winberrie Knolls Vineyard comes from more than 100-year-old vines and was matured for 10 months in 47% new French oak. It has a medium ruby-purple color and is bursting with scents of spicy red and black berries with touches of conifer, tobacco and potpourri. The medium-bodied palate is elegant and earthy, with a balance of grainy tannins and juicy acidity, and it finishes long and layered. Only 72 cases were made.

The 2019 Zinfandel Hartford Vineyard is cut from the same cloth yet seems to have a touch more purity and precision than the Highwire release. Blueberries, candied strawberries, toasted spice, graphite, and spicy wood notes define this beauty, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a wonderful sense of purity, ripe tannins, and a great finish.
The 2019 Zinfandel Hartford Vineyard emerges from vines planted in 1906. A heady, exuberant wine, the Hartford Zinfandel builds nicely in the glass as sweet floral and spice notes emerge to complement dark-fleshed berry fruit. This creamy, layered Zinfandel is pure sensuality. (AG)
The 2019 Zinfandel (Russian River Valley) captures all of the natural exuberance the appellation is known for. White pepper, mint and chalk lift a core of sweet red cherry fruit. Bright acids work so well in giving the wine energy and a real feeling of vibrancy. The 2019 is beautifully done.
