Note di degustazione
Dark red. Sweet aromas of raspberry, strawberry, minerals and smoke. Wonderfully ripe and sweet, with captivating red fruit flavors lifted by a minty nuance. A lush, silky fruit bomb of a Charmes. Finishes sweet and firm. This is all about fruit.

Explosive aromas of violets and black fruits are found in the nose of the 2002 Chambolle-Musigny Charmes. Big, sweet, and medium to full-bodied, it is a seductive wine of superb depth and purity. Loads of candied black cherries can be discerned in its plush, extravagant character as well as in its extensive finish. This wonderfully ripe effort should be drunk between 2006 and 2016. Very good red-ruby. Superripe, high-toned aromas of musky raspberry and pepper. Sweet but firm flavors of raspberry, cherry syrup, mint and minerals. A bit less dense on the back end than in the middle, finishing with lingering minerality, hints of cherry and caramelly oak and a faint dry edge. Saouma did a stronger extraction for two of his barrels and a much gentler extraction for the third; I tasted a representative blend.
