(91% zinfandel and 9% petite sirah; 15.7% alcohol with six grams per liter of residual sugar) Ruby-red. Aromas of currant liqueur, chocolate, spicecake and loam. Slightly sweet and a bit youthfully aggressive, with liqueur-like strawberry and raspberry fruit flavors nicely shaped by acidity. A rather powerful, somewhat aggressive wine whose sweetness builds on the back end.
