Note di degustazione
Cropped at a modest 32 hectoliters per hectare, the 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes unfurls in the glass with an enticing bouquet of ripe cherries, dark chocolate, spices and espresso roast. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and layered, with a textural attack, excellent depth and dimension at the core and velvety structuring tannins. It's a real success in the gourmand style of the vintage.

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru is showing a little more new oak on the nose than I would like, as well as more blue fruit, here mixed with cassis, which obscures the terroir expression. The medium-bodied, almost nubile palate offers sappy red fruit and turns voluminous and generous toward the finish, which features pure kirsch, blueberry and veins of white pepper. Thoroughly enjoyable, if not quite delivering the breeding of its peers. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
Black cherry, tight furry tannin, fresh acid. Some vegetal hints as well as ripe, satisfying fruit. Very savoury aftertaste. Glossy and impressive. (RH)
