2008 Pyramid Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir Riverbrook Vineyard Growers Collection

Bright medium red. Pure aromas of raspberry, cherry, spices and orange peel showed increasingly liqueur-like ripeness with extended aeration. Dense but high-pitched, with a juicy blood orange note that initially reminded me of Chambolle-Musigny. Finishes with a nicely restrained sweetness and a light touch. This is still quite young. I would have scored it even higher but for some emerging suggestions of superripeness.
