The 2007 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi is also fully mature, yet beautifully balanced and drinking nicely. Cured meats, spice, currants and ripe red fruits (it has serious meatiness) give way to a rounded, layered, silky Pinot Noir that has tons to love. It's at point today, yet given its balance, will keep nicely. It's a joy to drink.

Bright ruby. Primary dark berry and cherry skin scents are complicated by Asian spices and potpourri. Expansive, deeply concentrated raspberry and candied cherry flavors are framed by silky tannins and pick up a smoky mineral quality with air. Showing a boatload of fruit today, but I'd still wait a couple more years on this one.
The dark plum/garnet-tinged 2007 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi Vineyard offers attractive sweet currant and raspberry fruit along with hints of fresh beef blood, roasted herb, and oak notes in a medium to full-bodied style. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. A strong line-up of Pinot Noirs from Bonaccorsi, these cuvees reveal distinctive personalities, but all offer impressively high quality. The alcohol content of the single vineyard wines ranges from 14.7% to 15.3%, and the pH’s go from 3.72 to 3.89. All of them spend about 15 months in French oak (40% new). Tel. (310) 994-3207
