2010 Mount Veeder Cabernet Franc

'Wines with altitude' and an unusual variety here. Mid crimson. Much drier and lighter than most. Quite sandpaper tannins on the finish. The opposite of lusciously sweet; I should imagine this would be difficult to locate blind. It seems a bit perverse to choose a lighter grape variety for such a cool spot…? Just a bit too much acidity even for me! (JR)
