2013 Covert Empreinte Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds Vineyard

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds Vineyard has a level of textural finesse, especially in its tannins, that some of Fayard's other 2013s lack. Inky blue/purplish fruit, violet, licorice, plum, and lavender infuse the creamy, layered finish. This is a striking wine. The new oak signatures are present, but the wine is very nicely balanced. This is a hugely appealing, modern Cabernet Sauvignon built on lush fruit.
