Note di degustazione
RS 223.5 g/l, TA 8.3 g/l. Deep orangey-gold. Very intense, rich nose. Smooth as satin. Well-integrated fruit flavours on the palate but the acidity is still a little edgy. I'd hold on a little while before broaching this wine which has real bite, and a hint of prune flavours, on the end. (JR)

The 2018 Grande Cuvée Trockenbeerenauslese No 5 Nouvelle Vague is predominantly based on oak-fermented Welschriesling (80%) and barrique-fermented Chardonnay (20%). Bottled in early December last year, the 2018 opens with a noble, subtle and spicy bouquet of perfectly ripe peaches and white pepper. On the palate, this is a seamless, highly finessed and elegant TBA with great purity, concentration, refreshing mineral grip and a very long and salty finish. Bottled with 220 grams per liter of residual sugar. Tasted in February 2021.
Intense dried mango and papaya with plenty of brulee character on the nose, providing imposing presence from the beginning. The luscious sweetness is matched by serious concentration and bright acidity that lifts the dense finish beautifully. Very long and exciting. Drink or hold.
