1998 Bleasdale Vineyards Shiraz Generations

The outstanding 1998 Shiraz Generations Reserve boasts a dense plum/purple color in addition to a big, sweet perfume of underbrush, blackberry liqueur, oak, and compost. Full-bodied, chewy, and ripe, with no hard edges, this rich, concentrated powerhouse can be enjoyed now and over the next 10-12 years. Six generations of Potts (the proprietors) have been farming these vineyards, but this was my first experience with Bleasdale's solid portfolio.
