Note di degustazione
The 2022 Pinot Noir The Goddess was matured for 18 months in 80% new French oak. Initial wafts of flint and allspice give way to rhubarb, pomegranate and forest floor aromas. The medium-bodied palate features layer after layer of spicy, floral fruit. It has a supple, approachable texture, mouthwatering acidity and a long, detailed finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar. 120 cases were made.

The 2022 Pinot Noir The Goddess, sourced from Paul Hobbs’ Goldrock Estate, is a seriously powerful wine. Built for the long haul, refined tannins are impossible to ignore, refusing to release their grip but also never imposing or impeding the 2022’s momentum. Juicy and elegant, there’s incredible pedigree and poise here. Blue-toned fruit and exotic spices linger atop a base of rocky minerals. Give this gorgeous Pinot at least a year or two in bottle to settle.
The 2022 Pinot Noir The Goddess pours a deep magenta color with a touch of purple and comes from a remote vineyard farmed by Paul Hobbs at 500-600 feet elevation close to the ocean. In the glass, it takes on gorgeous notes of raspberry liqueur, pressed flowers, and fresh forest earth, all very pure and refined. It’s fantastic on the palate, with a plush, refined texture, a medium to full-bodied feel, and an exceptionally long finish. It’s darn good now but will drink well over the next 10-15 years.
