Dark scarlet. Aromas of black raspberry and cherry cola take on floral, succulent herb and allspice nuances as the wine opens up. Chewy and focused on the palate, offering concentrated red and dark fruit, rose pastille and mocha flavors that slowly loosen up through the midpalate. Shows excellent clarity and thrust on a long, cherry- and floral-accented finish that's given shape by sneaky, building tannins. Roughly 25% whole clusters and 30% new oak.
