2023 Kobayashi Winery Marsanne-Roussanne

A deep golden hue, the 2023 Roussanne opens in the glass with a seductive bouquet of young mangos and melon rinds complemented by hints of vanillin spice. It is deeply textural, nearly weighty in feel, with a core of juicy acidity contrasted by salty mineral tones as crisp orchard fruits swirl throughout. The 2023 finishes with tremendous length, penetrating and spicy, leaving a minty freshness offset by a suggestion of almond paste. Completely unique, the 2023 takes the taster on a journey from start to finish. There's so much going on here. This has the balance to age beautifully over time.
