Note di degustazione
The 2013 Pinot Noir Fe Ciega Vineyard is one of the most expressive wines in this range. Sweet red cherry, plum, spice and mint weaved together through the mid-palate and finish. Succulent and nicely layered throughout, the 2013 offers a striking combination of expressive aromatics and open-knit fruit. I expect the Fe Ciega will continue to drink well for the better part of the next decade.

The darkest Pinot in the Lineup, the 2013 Pinot Noir Fe Ciega Vineyard comes from a cool site located on the southwestern side of the Sta. Rita Hills. Medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and juicy, yet still young, unevolved and a little rough and tumble, it offers lots of plum, black raspberry, peppery herbs, violets and crushed rocks. Destemmed and aged 17 months in 40% new French oak, it really needs a year or two in the cellar.
