Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2025-2035, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Jul 2024

The 2021 Pinot Noir Bednarik Vineyard comes from Pommard and Wadenswil clone vines planted in the late 1980s. It has intense aromas of pomegranate and blueberry, Earl Grey and rooibos teas, forest floor and cinnamon, and it continually unfolds as it spends time in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with waves of juicy berry fruit structured by supple tannins, and it has a long finish layered with spicy accents. It's dangerously easy to drink without sacrificing complexity.

Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2024-2036, Jeb Dunnuck, Sep 2023

Although it comes from the Tualatin Hills, a cooling coastal influence emerges from the 2021 Pinot Noir Bednarik Vineyard. Bright ruby, it’s red-fruited and packed with aromas of tangerine citrus oil, fresh red flowers, and fresh herbs. Medium-bodied, with a vibrant, driving core of fresh acidity, ripe tannins, and a mineral texture, toasty notes of incense linger on the finish. An outstanding Burgundian-slanting wine, it has fantastic tension and balance. Drink 2024-2036.

Own-rooted Pommard and Wadenswil clones planted in the mid 1980s. Practising organic. Pale purple. Delicate florals, crushed rock on the nose. Dark-cherry and plum aromas with a menthol character that adds lift. Slight cardamom spice – like a minty chai. Lovely light structure. The tannins are not as mouth-coating as any of the other wines in this producer's portfolio. Elevated acidity but soft and not as driving. Light, sandy tannin. Juicy. (SCJ)
