Revealing a similar dark ruby color, the 2006 Pinot Noir Stone Corral Vineyard displays more red and black fruits in the nose along with less earth and spice. It reveals some tart acids as well as a flinty character in its moderately tannic finish. This well-made, medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir is still tightly-knit, and is best drunk over the next 5-6 years. The unquestionable Edna Valley reference point for Burgundy’s varietals is Talley Vineyards. Their wines eclipse any other wines made from these varietals in this region. Tel. and Fax (805) 489-0446

Deep red with a bright rim. Ripe raspberry and cherry on the nose, with a suave undercurrent of rose and minerals. Vibrant, mineral-drenched red berry flavors show impressive depth but are lithe and precise, with good back-end snap. A rich wine but in no way heavy, with excellent finishing cut and persistence.
