2009 Foxen Pinot Noir Sea Smoke Vineyard

Bright ruby-red. Intense aromas of cherry and dark berries, complicated by pungent herbal and floral qualities and a hint of licorice. Broad, fleshy and deep, offering intense dark fruit flavors that pick up spiciness and a touch of vanilla with air. Finishes sappy, sweet and very long, with lingering cherry compote and vanilla notes. A big, powerful rendition of pinot, with the heft to work with the richest red meat dishes.
